Vendor Kick-off meeting for both of the markets: the meeting will be a the Homewood Suite Uptown, on the 21st of May, 2016 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon - this is on a Saturday afternoon. I will have all of the required paperwork, forms and applications with me, If anyone has a permit to sale in the city of Albuquerque, I will need to see it , I have alot of new market information to put out as well.
Vendors are the heart and soul of the market. We encourage you to get to know the vendors and their products. Supporting their business supports our local economy and build community. Many market vendors come a on a regular basis but some come only seasonally when they have a certain product.
"We have taken down our vendor list for now. It was too difficult to keep current and we do not want customers to be disappointed if someone they are looking for is not there. Vendors, please feel free to post seasonal produce as it becomes available on our face book page, and other types of vendors posts occasionally throughout the season are encouraged such as a picture from the market and say something interesting about a product available there."
WANT TO BECOME A VENDOR?
Vendors are the heart and soul of the market. The Market is accepting new vendors.
Read below for additional information and forms for potential vendors.
Please mail completed ABQ Uptown Market Application form along with a check or money order made payable to "ABQ Uptown Growers' Market" for $120.00 to reserve a single space at one of our markets for the season. For multiple space reservations just multiply $120.00 by the number of spaces you want: $240.00 for two, $360.00 for three.
If you wish to have a seasonal space at both of our markets, the fee is $60.00 -one half of the regular fee (50% discount) for the second market .
If you wish to pay by the day, or come occasionally, the fee is $15.00 per day.
All craft vendors and processed food vendors need prior approval before coming to the market. Approval and permitting can take time, so please plan accordingly. We welcome quality local crafts and quality local processed and prepared foods, but absolutely no "flea market" type items and all food that is not just fresh local produce requires prior city approval and permitting. NO exceptions!
Fresh fruits and vegetables are welcome without prior approval, but must be grown or harvested by the vendor. A call or e-mail is appreciated but is not required for fresh fruit and/or vegetables. This is to encourage backyard growers to bring their excess to the market to add diversity to the products available and streamline the process. Backyard growers only coming once or twice to the market may qualify for guest permitting.
Please mail me your completed market application and if selling any type of food, please include the completed appropriate City of Albuquerque Permit Application. For you market fee please make your check payable to Albuquerque Growers Market along with the required fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to "The City of Albuquerque" for your food permit. For processed food include a copy of your "Processor Permit". For existing businesses please include a copy of your business license.
All forms and info will be at the vendor kick-off meeting!
